1. Launch Telegram Desktop. Use the latest version.
2. Open the Telegram main menu (fig. 1 ).

3. Proceed to Settings (fig. 2).

5. Proceed to the “Connection type” (fig. 4).

6. There are several types of Telegram work with proxies in the “Proxy settings” dialog box.
To proceed to proxy setup, select “Use custom proxy” (1, fig. 5) or click the “Add proxy” button (2, fig. 5).

7. You can find data to be entered in your personal account, where the IP address is a host in the Telegram settings. The names of the other parameters match.
Proxy protocol must correspond to the one specified in the personal account (Proxy type) (fig. 6).

Press “Save” when you finish input of the settings (fig 7).

8. Proxy will be added to the list of proxies added to Telegram. You will not have to enter all the data again when you want to use it next time. Just click on the desired proxy and wait for the connection.
Telegram allows adding several proxies. The active proxy will have a blue marker on it. You can change it at any moment (fig.8).
